It’s convertible season at webuycarsformore!

Spring has finally sprung and the sun’s out, which means just one thing: it’s time to get the shades on and the top down as convertible season arrives.

This is definitely the time of year to look at buying a convertible, and head to the countryside or the beach for leisurely drives in the sun.

Remember, driving a convertible properly has nothing to do with speed – it’s entirely about relaxing, taking it steady, enjoying the view and, dare we say it, posing a little bit.

At the top of the pile is this stunning A5 convertible, with Audi’s brilliant 2.0 tfsi petrol engine, leather interior and upgraded five-spoke alloys. The perfect car for cruising, and the four-wheel-drive quattro system means you’ll be perfectly prepared in case the weather takes a turn for the worse. If you’re feeling slightly sportier, this Honda S2000. The S2000 is a legendary driver’s car – its free-revving engine will hit 8,000 rpm very happily, and because of its reputation (it played a large part in the first Fast and the Furious film) these cars are now holding their second-hand value particularly well. Look after it and you’d likely be able to sell it without loss in a couple of years’ time.

Our choice, though, would undoubtedly be this magnificent MKI Golf GTi convertible. It won’t have the speed or the dynamic performance of a modern-day GTi, but this car is entirely about cruising slowly on a hot day. Very rare, iconic design, achingly cool, great condition for its age – an appreciating classic!
