Traffic chaos: beat the commuting blues with webuycarsformore
Everywhere you turn, it seems there is traffic chaos at the moment. The second the schools go back, it takes a turn for the worse. Then the evenings grow darker, the weather deteriorates, and the gridlock worsens.
The A19 is a particular blackspot – rarely a day passes when there aren’t significant delays at least somewhere between Sunderland and Teesside, either because of accidents, roadworks or adverse weather. Meanwhile, the A1 is still at a standstill while improvements are made along Newcastle’s western bypass.
There’s really not much you can do about the traffic, sadly, and you still need to get where you’re going: our philosophy is to make sure you’re in a comfortable a setting as possible and make the most of it.
That also means finding a car that can tackle any conditions, and preferably one with an automatic gearbox. Sitting in traffic in a manual is frustrating and draining – automatics are the way forward when congestion builds.
This week’s focus car is, we admit, a bit on the flashy side. But there can be very few more comfortable ways to arrive at your destination than in this Range Rover Sport.
Just look at those seats! You’d be happy with chairs as comfortable as that in your living room. That quilted leather is utterly luxurious, and the car has only done 45,000 miles so there is plenty of life left in those seats, which are hardly showing any wear.
Plus, once you beat the queues, you know you’re not going to be slowed down by flash floods or a it of snow. This thing will go anywhere you point it.
